Get To Know Dr. Tres Layton

Dr. Layton grew up in Phoenix, AZ, where his family still lives. HIs dream when he was young was to become a Navy F-18 pilot, but he was discouraged from pursuing it when a recruiter told him he was too tall. Dr. Layton changed course after taking an anatomy class in high school and falling in love with the healthcare profession. A respected mentor suggested he shadow a dentist, and the rest is history.

Dr. Layton graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Exercise Science and a Business Management minor. He then attended University of the Pacific on a Health Professions Scholarship Program from the US Navy and graduated with his DDS degree. While at UoP, he learned how to take a "Humanistic" approach to dentistry by treating the whole patient with respect, dignity, and care, rather that just treating their teeth, a philosophy he carries with him to this day.

After earning his degree, Dr. Layton spent 3 years of active duty service as a dentist in the Navy, fulfilling his dream of serving his country and helping people through healthcare. He was stationed in Beaufort, South Carolina at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot and in Lemoore, CA at Naval Air Station Lemoore. He is still dedicated to lifelong learning and keeping up with the latest advancements in dentistry through various continued education courses.

When he’s not in the office, Dr. Layton enjoys golfing, playing guitar, and reading. He is an avid sports fan and plays almost everything including basketball, soccer, softball, etc. He also loves spending time with his 3 children and lovely wife.
